Please be aware that WPRA Card and Permit holders are not allowed to enter Lakeland Rodeo because it is a PRCA rodeo previously having a WPRA barrel race, you are liable for a rule infraction if you go.......rules:

WPRA
member
shall
not
participate
in
or
perform
and
exhibition
in a
PRCA
rodeo
not
a
WPRA
barrel
race.
1.3.11.1.1
When
the
barrel
race
has
been
WPRA
approved
in
the
past
and
then
it
becomes
and
open
barrel
race,
WPRA
members
may
not
compete.
1.3.11.1.2
No
WPRA
member
shall
participate
in
an
invitational
barrel
race
held
at a
PRCA
approved
rodeo
without
Board
approval.
WPRA
members
found
guilty
of
participating
in a
open
or
invitational
barrel
race
are
subject
to a
major
rule
infraction.

I met Linda over 24 years ago when I was in high school and dating her son. Even back then Linda was winning rodeos and making it to WPRA Circuit Finals on horses she trained herself. In 2005, Linda had a Cinderella year and qualified for the NFR going to Las Vegas Number 1 in the World Standings. 
Wendy competes in PRCA, PCA, NBHA and super shows. She trains and gives lessons in the Marianna, Florida area. In this article Wendy offers some great advice while sharing her barrel racing story with us.
