We had a great Finals, if you didn't make it this year be sure to put it in your calendar for next year. The Saturday night pizza party and DJ were a lot of fun. We got to see our newest up and coming star belt out some great toons. Who knows maybe little Brooke Mosley is going to be our next Hannah Montana star!

Sunday went well and finished up with a run off for the Novice 2D Championship between Lori McCard and Lacey Sadler.  Finally the banquet finished up with awards provided by Maynard buckles, breast collars, headstalls and spur straps from Cowboy Couture Tacks, Cactus saddles from Tack Shack on the Suwannee, custom emboridered jackets, bags and horse sheets, customized silver stirrups and spurs straps and more.  

We will be taking fax entries until Wed at 5pm. All other enteries will be taken up to 1 hr before first class starts on Sat. Entries will also be taken Friday night. Draw, stall and hookup assignments will be posted on Thursday.  We have 25 stalls and 9 hookups available at this time. Stalls and hookups can not be guaranteed unless reserved in advance. The Finals race is open to anyone that wishes to enter Saturday and Sunday.

Only qualified members will be eligible for year end awards.

Qualified members will receive double points in fastest divisions and single pts in other divisions. All potential award winners must be entered  in at least one race to receive awards.

The points have been figured for all four tours. Please check your points to make sure they are correct. Changes to individual tours will not be made once the finals begin.  All fines must be paid by the finals. Award qualifiers and fines will be posted online.

To remain eligible for awards, qualifiers must enter the finals. Anyone can enter the finals but only award qualifiers will acquire points toward year end awards.

Some of the entry forms were mailed out with the wrong hookup price. The cost of a hookup for the weekend is $85.

WPRA national sponsor Wrangler has provided $500 as added money for a new sidepot class just for WPRA members. To enter the class you must be entered in the Tour of Champions Race 4 Saturday Open.  The class will use Saturday's run time to determine the placement. All money won in the class will go towards WPRA members total year earnings.

We have no stalls or hookups available.  Overnight panels will be permitted in a designated area. Entries will be taken Friday night during check - in and up to a half hour before the first horse runs Saturday for each class.

As of 4/24/10 we have 5 stalls and 3 hookups available. If you would like to reserve one please call 941.730.3357, we will need a credit card on file for the reservation.

For those of you (members only) that just got your newsletter today, you can put your entry in tomorrow's mail (4/22/10) without a late fee. Sorry for the delay.

Stalls and hookups are available and generators are welcome. Showers are also on premises and there are some shavings in the stalls. No shavings are available for purchase at the facility.

Stalls are limited at the Silver Sands Bridle Club. Reserve your stalls early. If you want a late draw but need a stall just put that info on the entry form.

The shirts and jackets that were ordered are being finished and you should receive them in the mail by the middle of January.
